Join our group program to get your child prepped for Prep!
Our Prep for Prep groups teach the essential foundation skills needed for learning to read and write, practice how to make new friends, sit & listen in the classroom and be independent during lunchtime. The group gives children a head start with their pencil grip, letter awareness and pre-writing skills before starting school.
Who Runs the Groups?
Our Program will be run jointly by our Speech Pathologist and Occupational Therapist
Help your child be READY FOR PREP
Help your child be READY FOR PREP by learning the essential foundation skills needed for learning to read and write. They will learn the skills to make new friends, sit & listen in the classroom and be independent during lunch. Give them a head start with their pencil grip, letter awareness and pre-writing skills before starting school. Give them more words to express themselves, a love of reading and the feeling of educational success!
Small group of up to 8 children with parents welcome to observe or drop children off for the group, please provide a packed lunch
Parents provided with take home activities, strategies and booklets to help you continue your child’s learning at home
Children will attend 8 hours of therapy for the cost of 4
One on One Prep for Prep
A Kids Play occupational therapist can identify and support development of the skills your child needs for starting Prep. Therapy focuses on the core areas your child is having difficulty with. Therapy input could include skill development in the areas of attention, emotion, fine motor, gross motor, social and independence skills. Input could be in the clinic, kindy or daycare.
